I am absolutely astounded at the charity of others for her! I thought I’d share a special letter of appreciation she wrote:

A MESSAGE FROM AMBER!....
Here’s a little update on my road to recovery….

First off, I need to express my gratitude to everyone for all the donations. There are no words to express how grateful I am for the generosity of all the donors. Also, a very special thank you to Jody Adney and everyone at TCFD, not only for setting up this website, but also for the HUGE amount of moral support I’ve received. I definitely feel the love, and although this has been a trying time, I have never felt more blessed.

It has now been almost nine weeks since the accident. I am at home, but on still bed rest. Occasionally I get in the wheelchair and go outside, which I enjoy doing, but now with this weather change I’d prefer to stay indoors with the fireplace on, haha. I had a doctor appointment yesterday, I received some good news and some “not what I wanted to hear” news. I have an external fixator that holds my pelvis together, after reviewing the Xrays the doctor said that the bone isn’t repairing itself as quickly as he had anticipated. This is most likely due to the extent of my injuries, my body has to work on repairing so many bones all at the same time, so it takes a little bit longer. The external fixator is tentatively scheduled to be removed the end of December. At that time I’ll be able to bear weight on my right side, I’ll still have to stay off my left foot for another 6-8 weeks, but even if it is only one foot, I’m looking forward to being much more mobile. The podiatrist replaced the cast on my left foot yesterday, (I wanted to be festive so I had them make it look like a candy cane) this cast will also come off the end of December. The cast has been removed from my right leg, and I’m starting physical therapy on the right ankle and right hand.

Most importantly, I am in good spirits. I have my faith and an amazing group of family and friends who have been and will continue to be there for me every step of the way. I’m blessed to have so many good people in my life.

Once again, thank you all for the support. I cannot wait to be able to pay it forward…..
